Jérôme Chevalier

Jérôme began his career as an M&A banker at Lazard Frères, a leading global investment bank, originating and executing transactions in technology, healthcare and energy. He left after 15 years with Lazard.

In 2001, Jérôme joined Quilvest, a large international family office with today $35bn of Assets under management. He was hired to launch and build a global private equity practice in technology, healthcare and energy. Jérôme led Quilvest’s initial investments in funds and companies in those industries. Many of these relationships, such as NEA, Insight and General Catalyst continue and remain core today.

In 2007, Jérôme founded Quilvest Ventures together with Henri de Perignon, his business partner of 25 years. Jérôme was a member of Quilvest’s investment committee for private equity funds, which deployed more than $2bn.

Through 2012, Jérôme completed more than 75 transactions in technology, healthcare and energy, mainly in the United States and Europe. The success of these investments enabled Quilvest Ventures to attract capital from tier-1 outside institutional investors.

In late 2012, Jérôme and Henri led Quilvest Ventures’ spin off from the Quilvest Group to create Quadrille Capital.

Jérôme is a graduate of ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales) in Paris, and served for 18 months in the French Navy.
