
Eric is a senior officer in the French Air and Space Force with over 30 years of experience in operations, strategy, and international Defense. From 2021 to 2023, he was Deputy Chief of Defense Staff (Major Général des Armées), where he played a key role in aligning joint military efforts across future capability planning, support systems, and operational concepts.
Previously, Eric held senior roles including Deputy Chief of Staff of the French Air and Space Force (Major Général de l’Armée de l’air, 2020–2021), Executive Director of the French Air Force Academy (2016–2018), and representative at NATO’s Allied Command Transformation in the US (2009–2012). From 2013 to 2016, he also served in and later led the Operations and International Relations unit within the Minister’s Cabinet at the Ministry of the Armed Forces. He began his career as a fighter pilot and commanded several squadrons.
Eric is also the co-founder of ECD Conseil (launched in 2024 to connect Defense and the private sector) and has been a member of the Haut Comité d’évaluation de la condition militaire (HCECM) since 2024.
He is a graduate of the École de l’air et de l’espace (French Air Force Academy) and holds additional qualifications from the Collège Interarmées de Défense and the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN).
Eric is a Commander of both the French National Order of Merit and the Legion of Honor
